Patonga Boathouse hotel reopens after renovation

Patonga Boathouse on the Central Coast has reopened after a major renovation by owners Andrew and Pip Goldsmith.

The Goldsmiths are behind the Boat House Group which operates several venues at Palm Beach, Shelly Beach and Balmoral, as well as Moby Dicks Whale Beach.

One change at the new look Patonga is the disappearance of the unusual curved bar that was formerly the centrepiece of the Sydney Hilton Hotel’s America’s Cup Bar and was sold on eBay auction earlier this year.

“We are really happy with the new look and feel, overall the venue will be much brighter and lighter and takes advantage of the surrounding natural beauty,” Pip Goldsmith told the Daily Telegraph.

The venue will feature a large food and beverage offering, and a “takeaway store” which will offer fish and chips. Andrew Goldsmith said it is a “classic waterside pub with a restaurant”.

The upstairs accommodation, featuring one, two and three bedroom options, will be available starting in the New Year.
