Restaurant collapse into lake

Disaster struck yesterday at popular restaurant and wedding venue Milano’s On The Lake when the building partially collapsed into Lake Macquarie.
Multiple emergency teams rushed to the complex in Soldiers Road Pelican yesterday morning.
Two people were insider the building when it collapsed but they escaped.
The venue took to its Facebook page to reassure everyone that everything was fine and no one had been hurt.
“Everyone is ok, just here with emergency services now,’’ the venue announced.
Emergency crew turned off the gas and electricity to make sure the building was safe and ensure there weren’t any further risks.
